APPLICATION:  To apply for a rabbit, submit an application.  All applications are considered in the order they are received.  We reserve the right to change our adoption agreement at any time and we reserve the right to refuse sale of a rabbit for any reason.  

PAYMENT:  Once approved, you can reserve up to 2 available rabbits with a $50.00 non-refundable deposit for each rabbit by cash in person or via PayPal.  The deposit will only be refunded if we cancel the sale for any reason.  The balance is due IN CASH at the time of scheduled pickup (absolutely no shipping).  

PICKUP:  Pickup must be made on the scheduled date at our location - 14509 Lawnes Drive, Smithfield, VA 23430.  If the rabbit is not picked up on the scheduled date or we are not contacted to make other arrangements, your deposit will be considered a donation to feed and house BinkyBunnies and the rabbit will be available for adoption to another family.  Starting 3 days after your initial scheduled pickup date, a boarding fee of $5.00/day to house/feed your bunny will be charged until pickup.  That fee must be paid in advance via PayPal.  The sale is finalized once the rabbit is paid for in full and the buyer has taken possession of him/her.  Once the sale is finalized, the rabbit is 100% property of the buyer. 

TAKING YOUR RABBIT HOME:  When picking up your rabbit, you must bring a pet carrier to transport your rabbit home.  Holding your rabbit for the ride home is not recommended as your rabbit will be stressed and needs to feel safe.  Once you get home, we recommend placing the rabbit in his/her enclosure with a litter box (they will have litter training experience), water and alfalfa hay in a quiet, calm area until he/she adjusts and is ready to venture out.   

CARE PACKAGE:  All rabbits will go home with a care package that includes alfalfa hay, food, a toy, a blanket, a care sheet and the pedigree history (baby bunnies will not be provided a pedigree).  We highly recommend you keep your rabbit on the high quality food brand we provide.  If changing food brands, you must gradually transition to the new feed.  A rabbit's digestive system is very sensitive so you must be careful of any foods you provide.  Failure to slowly change the rabbit's diet could result in illness and even death.  

GUARANTEE:  We guarantee that, to the best of our knowledge at the time you pick up your rabbit, he/she will be in good health and temperament.  Keep in mind that a rabbit becomes hormonal at around 5 months of age.  When you get your rabbit spayed/neutered, this will help mellow his behavior.  

You must examine your rabbit upon pickup for any signs of illness (nasal/eye discharge, diarrhea, etc).  We cannot control what happens once the rabbit has left our care including disease or death caused by abuse, neglect, extreme temperatures, malnourishment, improper feeding, improper housing, injury from other animals or improper handling, exposure to disease or illness by other animals or other issues not under our control.  

GENDER:  Determining a baby rabbit's gender can be very difficult due to small size and development.  While we're generally quite accurate, mistakes identifying gender can occur.  It is your responsibility to verify the gender before you complete your purchase.  

REFUNDS:  No refunds will be offered after the rabbit leaves the property. We do not sell rabbits with unfriendly or aggressive personalities but a change in personality could occur.  This will not lead to a replacement but at any time, you can return the rabbit; no questions asked.  If you do have issues with the bunny acting aggressive, contact us immediately.  This is not a characteristic of the breed and can often be remedied by a change in your behavior towards the rabbit.

RETURN:  Under no circumstances should the rabbit be sold, traded or given away to a pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility.  Again, you can return the rabbit at any time; no questions asked.

LIABILITY:  You are responsible for the health and care of the rabbit after it leaves our property.  Under no circumstances will BinkyBunnies be responsible for any medical costs the rabbit may incur after the sale.  Under no circumstances will BinkyBunnies be responsible for any damage the rabbit may cause to personal property.  Under no circumstances will BinkyBunny be held responsible for any personal injury caused by the rabbit such as biting or scratching.    

AGREEMENT:  Purchasing a rabbit from BinkyBunnies means you have read, understand and agree to the above policies.
